A good Human Manager will always study the AI manager he plays against.

Things you need to do:

a. What were the results of the teams last couple of matches
b. Have their results done anything for their targets?
c. Their morale? Is it low?
d. Are they an ambitious lot? If they are, low morale with high ambition could be a spark that could set off in your face.

e. The manager - does he have high tactical knowledge and good motivational skills? Double check on the ass man as well? If they don't then that's good news, cos you can "fire up" your team at prematch and halftime.

f. If the manager has the gift of gab? Then you need to play defensively as well. You need to encourage your team. And you need to pay attention to his key players

rashidi1- thanks for compiling this thread- it should help most people to understand how the team talk works altho it will be different for different managers, at different standards.

One hope for FM 08 is that all the team talk options are availbale for you to choose from at all times rather than the ones that the game thinks you will use. About every 4th game, I am looking for an option that is not there and this is very frustrating.

if i play a strong team (big 4 or what) at HOME ... if the result is draw or losing 1 - 0 to them , i will ask them 'do for supporter' for half-time teamtalks .. tat works for me .. my mans fight all the way !

"supporter" ones work especially well for cup games and against rival clubs.
