Do you mean having farrows for attacking situations and then barrows when your team has to defend??
I think if wanted this implemented in FM 08 then u should suggest it in the FM08 suggestions thread in the general discussion section.

I dont think it is needed. You want him to be in WB position when defending and AM position whan attacking? Then he is never in M position so you could just move him to WB and put Farrow to AM.
I guess you want your winger to help the fullback more often, my suggestion is you lower his mentality and closing down. This wil leave less space in the WB area.
