Ok, here's the case. I have started as a LLM, but now my team is getting better and better. Most of the teams I play against go defencive and try to counter. My question is as follows; How do I set up my tactic/formation to stop this?

I have read quite a bit of the "how to" threads in here, but I haven't really gotten a real answer. I was hoping someone could either explain it to me or direct me to an apropriate thread.

wwfan's thread does a good job of explaining how you should play against teams who put up a defensive wall around you.

In general you want to play a lower tempo game and have some players on a neutral mentality so that they will poke open the defense. You also need players who are doing forward runs into the box as much as possible.

Variations are always good like having a targetman for good crossers of the ball to find, or a talented AMC who can bring balls into the box. You could also go for fast strikers who try and break behind teams that play a high defensive line

There are many approaches you can take, it depends on the talent pool you have and what you can do with it

Thanks for the input, I have tried to implement some of wwfans ideas. But so far no luck, it seems like every team builds a brickwall around their goalarea. And they usually use their most physical players to hard tackle my strikers. I'll continue to try to break them down!
