For a laugh, I tried to buy van der Vaart for my Premiership Leicester team in the second season.

Was told to pay £23M which I accepted never thinking that he would want to come.

He did!

Only problem is that his combined wages + transfer fee would distroy my finances and I wouldn't be able to buy anyone else nor offer anyone another contract for a long time.

Should I buy him?

Another point to add is that I do not play with attacking midfielders - only attacking wingers.

Is he any good as a normal centre midfielder or is there anyone better?

got him for free, made 3-4 games with him, played bad, sold it right away
