Frank sent me to Port Talbot in the Welsh Premier League.
Season 06/07
The Board expects a safe mid-table position at the end of the season. After looking through the squad I eventually added an experienced Winger and Defender to bolster the squad and provide some experience to a squad with an average age of 22. After finishing pre-season I managed to lose my physio to QPR and managed to sign a new physio with a 2 as his physio stat , so this will be interesting to say the least.
The season was full of ups and downs with the squad having to be rotated alot due to injuries (I can't imagine why). Form, over the course of the season, was alright with no major wins or loses in the league. In January I promoted several of the U-19's that I had been using as cover as needed with the hope that they would save me a few bob(which I never had) .
Welsh Cup - 2nd round
FAW Premier Cup - Quarter Final
Welsh Challenge Cup - Quarter Final
League - A respectable 4th just missing out on Europe /o\
Season 07/08
The Board wants a safe mid-table finish but I was hoping to go one better than last season and get into Europe. Looking through the squad to see who to get rid of, revealed a lack of cover which ment I had to rely on the squad from last season and the new youths promoted into the U-19's because the board in their wisdom gave me nothing to purchase players with . An oversight on my part ment that we only played 2 Pre-season games and this really affected our season with us being slow out of the blocks and staying ten steps behind for the entire season. Cups suck arse even harder this season as did the league and only a late, late rally and a tight league allowed us to finish 6th in the WPL.
Welsh Cup - 3rd round
FAW Premier Cup - 2nd round
Welsh Challenge Cup - 1st round
League 6th (3 points off of 14th)
European Championship 08
Final won by Spain on penalties after drawing 2-2 with Italy
Season 08/09
Yet again the Board wants a Safe mid-table position but after the fiasco of last seasons Pre-season cockup by me I beleived that we could push hard for a top 3 finish. A newly signed contract gave me 2k to spend in the transfer market and a 1k increase in my wages allowed a bit of leeway but I resisted spending until the January transfer window where I brought in a big ugly centre half to kick some strikers around. The season started well with Port Talbot sitting nicely in 3rd with a small gap from 4th, but it was not to be, with a shocking display of physiotherapy I had 6 1st team members out for anywhere between 2 months and 6 months. A youth I promoted due to said injuries who in the 2 seasons I had been at Port Talbot scored a total of 65!! goals for the reserves was a saviour for me chipping in with 17 goals in 20(3) games, twice as many goals as the next highest scorer. Finishing 6th again I resolved to get rid of my physio and find someone who knows his elbow from his arsehole
Welsh Cup - 3rd round
FAW Premier Cup 1st round
Welsh Challenge Cup Quarter Finals
League 6th
No, I can only scout Wales so it is a tad annoying to see all the other teams signing players from the EPL and SPL leagues. I have a duel Jock/Poof Nationality and I thought that might have made a difference but it hasn't.
The Board expects the usual mid-table finish but I am determined that we will do alot better this year. With alot of contracts up over the break I managed to sign most of my 1st team squad to first time contracts and managed to stay well within my wage allowance. The Board expects me to suppliment my 1st team with the use of the reserves and have given me no money to bring in anyone. Nothing new there then.
This season was a much better one for us with Port Talbot never straying from the top 5. In the January transfer window I managed to convince a player from one of my rivals to sign a pre-contract agreement with me, something I was happy to do as he had been a constant thorn in my side these 3 1/2 seasons, he kept ripping us apart and I am hoping he can bring that to my squad for next year. An 11 game unbeaten run at the end of the season ment that I finished 5pts clear in 3rd but nowhere near TNS and Llanelli. TNS not losing a game all season in the league  but still managing to finish 2nd.
As a side note my Reserves won their league and the U-19's won their league for the 3rd time in a row. I think I will have to take a closer look at them
