You need to stop saying "Yes", Ian. People won't realise you're a "mean-spirited, insulting person who enjoys nothing better than to verbally torch the newbies" if you keep this up.
Cups Don't Suck Arse, btw |

I'm mellowing
To be fair, some of the questions being asked are done so with (it appears) absolutely no aforethought at all.
It actually says "It is just a game, though. It’s counter-productive to get bogged down by rules..." in the Featured Topic but it appears to be de rigueur now to either have the rules like a giant albatross around the neck or to question their validity, with absolutely nothing in between.
...and they suck @ss harder than the inlet conduit of a cross-channel hovercraft |

Do not suck arse. I just got tonked 5-0 on aggregate by Heart of Lithuania in the UEFA first round, but cleared a half million doing it. And our form went through the roof afterwards. Fecking brilliant. |

European Competitions don't count. If you get to Europe then you're obviously doing okay.
The FA Trophy, The Johnstone's Paint Trophy and such shyte leave your players tired and injured much more often than you clear half a million in the Uefa Cup.
They suck @ss.

I got in the UEFA by losing 2-1 to Porto in the Taca de Portugal, as a second tier side (my location is still accurate ). That didn't suck arse either
As one of the leading backers of the term " Vans Suck Arse Trophy™ " you won't get any argument about those tin-pot minor league competitions, but they're not all there is to "Cups". (In fact both your examples are trophies, not cups). |

I'll give you a genuine suck arse cup: the Serie Cr Cup, especially when you have to play the group stages four seasons in a row. |

Insert any of the Northern Irish cups as well.
Nice to be managing in Slovakia where there's one cup, no replays, a winter break, and one fixture per week -- An island of football sanity in a sea of suckass cups.

Considering the Northern Irish Cup can get your team into Europe, I wouldn't say it's all that bad.
And to be honest I don't mind the Intermediate Cup, to use the group stages to get all my players some match action, and maybe see if my young players are ready to be promoted to the first team. Moving past the group stages aren't so good though.

Oi you twerps, it's the Eidos Suck Arse Trophy.
Vans are useful. They get you places with a lot of stuff in the back of them. Eidos are crap.

| Seconded. It's a whole buch of fixtures before the league season commences, and just after the hols; they double up as competitive friendlies and do prepare you well for the upcoming season. I tinkered with new signings, youths and new tactics to great effect.
