Well, the thing is that in my opinion, it would take a very good scout and multiple games to actually have a players attributes fully revealed.

If it were up to me, an LLM scout would only be able to give fog-of-war'ed reports.

Example:
"Player X is good in the physical aspect of the game, but suffers when expected to play the ball."

No attributes, just a general sense of his position on the pitch and so on. That, however, is a whole different discussion, so i ll drop it.

Anyway, i ve decided to go without it, so the matter is solved.

Well a scout automatically scouts your next opponent on the xbox version and sometimes he tells you like they're not very good at clearing the ball from crosses so I made my wingers cross it often and to the far posts because they had small wing backs and it worked!

Slightly disagree with the bit about not noticing the opponents, if you're scouting then surely how the opponents line up, their players strengths & weaknesses (for example how they handled a deep defence) etc would need to be watched to give a reasonably accurate picture?

What do you feel about matches at the tail end of the season? For your last match of the season you would have watched your opponents fully once (more if you've drawn them in a cup), and peripherally who knows how many times?

Oh btw, I'm not trying to gain myself an advantage (although surely by scouting at all that would be the case ). I had just given my opinion for the OP, I only employ one scout and he's scouting England not next opponent.

Not fully disagreeing with what you say either, I just like to hear what others think, get that "Oh yeah I see his point" and further refine that Llama experience

Season 2009/2010

What a season!

It all started with the hiring of a very promising looking scout and my board deciding to allow me to scout the rest of the home nations.

Following said scout's recommendations, i signed a goalkeeper, two defenders, two midfielders and a striker to cover for some of my overachieving last year's youngsters who got sold for good cash over the summer.

The goalkeeper i signed, a 19year old Northern Irish bloke, kept 20 clean sheets over the season. The striker scored 19 goals, being awarded the Fans Player Of The Year award and also Best Signing of the Year for the Conference.

Add to that excellent performances from the whole squad, and 1st position doesnt look like such a surprise after all. Following a slow start, we hit our stride at about October and didnt take the foot of the gas pedal until April, winning the league with three games to spare.
Woo! (I'm excited, can you tell?)

League 2 looms ahead but im pretty confident we ll manage to scrape through.

KUTGW!

Are you beating off League 1 and 2 clubs for the goalkeeper and the striker?

The striker is 29 years old and im not sure he will cope in the higher leagues.

As for the keeper, i ve had bids for him, but as he is still getting better and seems happy enough to stay, im being a very unreasonable negotiator.
