Staff related question but slightly different to the original.

I know the board recommend an amount of coaches for the team (mine is 1), but is there any real problem with telling the board to bugger off and hiring more?

Personally, whenever I try and improve a club, I always start with backroom staff and work up.

I'd say it's your budget and the board will stop you signing coaches eventually, so it's not open ended.
Haven't seen a LLaMa opinion on this one though.

I tend to take the view that the board's recommendation is just that, a recommendation, not an absolute limit. It's one of many things you should consider, the most important IMO, being what is a realistic for a club at your level of football.

My board still recommends that I only have 1 coach. My opinion is something along of "I've helped this club move up a division, made us a lot of money to double the size of our ground, got us to a cup final for the first time ever and achieved European qualification. So if I want to employ 3 coaches, then I bloody well will, alright!"

Now the job centre works as it should do, I only use that and don't use the staff search.

As for damm, he can go back to the heathen fora from where he came from earlier.

I tend to take the approach that, if the club actually want to progress and become a full-time professional club, it should be ran like a full time professional club.

That means a dedicated coaching staff. I personally wouldn't take the job if all they wanted was to stay afloat and retain mid-table mediocrity.

Although, inevitably, that's what I tend to achieve.....
