James Darley is infamous around these parts
Default Ahhhh what a Swedish Winter!

Anyway, just to introduce myself my name is James and I live in the US. Anyway I am in college right now and won't be able to complete the three seasons for at least a while, thus I talked to the mods and they gave me the okay to update it season by season.

Anyway I decided to change things up to the usual countries and decided to play in the Swedish Second Division North choosing a nice little team called Skelleftea.

Skelleftea Season 06/07
I decided to sign up for a nice $190 dollars a month. I am sure I am going to be living well in Sweden =]. The media expected us to end up in 10th place and fight against relegation, but I had much better expectations. I had a pretty decent squad with some great firepower upfront, most notable was the man I came to call the "Viking." Anyway the season started off well, midway through the season I found myself in 1st place without having dropped a point. However, that is when things went downhill the next 8 games were all ties or losses and with 4 games and in second place trailing first place Pitea by 4pts I was in dire need for a win. I knew that although sometimes were out of my hands I needed just to win all the remaining games to give myself a chance. From the last 4 games, 3 of them pitted me against the 3rd, 4th, and 5th place teams in their respective orders. I remember going into the 1st game of the series against Timra feeling a pit in my stomach and things didn't look good as I went into the locker room down 2 - 0, however "Viking" would strike twice within 5 min of the onset of the second half to level things and just when it looked like the game would end in a draw, "Afro" my second promising striker scored to give me the 3 - 2 win. The next two games would end up in victories as well and much to my joy Pitea lost 3 of their last 4 games giving me a 5 point lead with 1 game to go and basically sealing my promoting to the Swedish First Division North.

P W D L Pts GD
22 14 4 4 46 +23

Media Prediction: 10th and Battle Relegation
End Result: 1st and Promotion
Highlight: Promotion to the First Division (actually the 2nd Division in Swedish Footy)
Lowlight: 4 - 1 trouncing by Timra during the 3rd game of the season.
Star Man: "Viking" with 7.73 Avg. Rating, 18 goals and 12 assists
Topscorer: "Viking" with 18 goals

I know deep inside that you must have run out of either internet connection or power atm, because otherwise, you would have posted other two seasons as well.

On an odd note, where this isn't so, I would like to direct you in the way of forum header and stickies that apply. Please, examine them carefully.

You have to remember to actually read his post kov

That's a very good effort James, Scandinavia can be a very frustrating place to play.

Hmmmmm. I'm afraid to say I'm with Kov here.

I too thought it was a great effort as Sweden is tough, but a little thing called GPG may have had more than a little to do with it.
