I have been reading through these post the last few days, and i have to say that i am really excited about applying the LLM rule. I have been playing CM already some time, and recently got a transfer to FM06.
I always used to take a small team, since it is much nicer then taking a team that has everything already. It is great to see a team growing, or dying, under your hands. However, reading the rules thoroughly, i need to change some behaviour such as using the find-menu.
Well, I'm in my 1st season with a Belgian 3th division team, which seemed pretty good balanced. No money for transfer, but a decent team (regarding ages, not quality)
I have played a bunch of friendlies, winning all but 1 (against a belgian no-leaguer) And the season has started. I survived until the 4th round of the belgian cup (against a 2nd division) and my first 3 games i have lost, respectively 1-2, 0-2 and... 0-8 . Already 3nil behind first ten minutes, so i decided to go all attack, i mean loosing 3-0 or 8-0, you still loose!!
Anyway, i hope that i will succeed in keeping them from relegation and be able to keep my better players, that way i can try to work on next season already...
the most difficult part however, was the start of the game. It was really hard to let the players that i know leave behind... I managed to find one unknown youngster, according to my scout he's good, and after a trial i offered him a contract. Let's see if he will be my salvation...
I hope i can persevere with the rules of LLM, because the find button is really lurking towards me... it's almost like a great whiskey: once you've acquired the taste you won't have no for an answer...
