In my current season I am on something of a miracle run in the FA Cup as a League 2 club.

I have reached the Final, having dispatched 2 EPL teams and 3 Championship teams on the way. At least two of these ties (rusty memory) have gone to replays. Since the last week of January (i.e. the period of playing all these superior teams) I have won 10 consecutive league matches and have an overall league record of W30 D9 L3 for the season. (For the simple minded: This is a statement of fact, not bragging)

Your theories can kiss my ass. :p

How many seasons have you played, Michal? How often have you taken a League 2 Club to the FA Cup final?

I've played upwards of a hundred seasons in FM2007, never taken a League 2 team to the FA Cup final, and have experienced aquaplaning in virtually every season, particularly following unexpected victories in the Cups, European or Domestic...but I obviously cede to your single good season

Aquaplaning is a state of mind induced by the fear of changing things in case you cause aquaplaning, or, conversely, changing things after e.g. a cup win, because you just know that win will cause aquaplaning.

Aquaplaning and cup-hating are recurring themes of yours. We'll never agree on the latter, but I can't honestly say that I've experienced the former in any version of CM/FM. Mind you, I never had the red card and injury issues that some had with 7.0.0 either.

Perhaps I'm just lucky.

I don't hate Cups, I just pay little attention to them...promotion's not everything...it's the only thing :cool:

Aquaplaning's real, unfortunately. When it gets to the stage you can accurately tell when it's about to happen regardless what you do, you just sit back and enjoy the ride, then it's both real and you're playing the game too much
