Hey guys I'm pretty new to this LLM business. Right now I'm managing Farsely Celtic - my first attempt managing one of the minnows.

Anyway I was just wondering how many seasons it generally takes you guys to get from the Conf. North/South to the Premierhip?

Basically I just want to know what I've let myself in for and how many hours I'm gonna be wasting in my hunt for Premiership glory!

If you don't hunt for premiership glory, you won't be wasting your time.

Personally, in 6 years, I've never got a club from Conference to Premiership. Not a second has been wasted time.

What I meant was how much time I'll be taking. I just said "wasting" because FM is the biggest time waster of all time, I didn't mean it literally though!

It's all in the journey. not the getting there.

But some have managed do it, so it is possible.

It's all in what you aim for.

I aim for promotion, I have a disrespect for Cups, I'm not bothered about being champion of the current division, I'm happy with a playoff place and to get up on penalties...promotion's my aim, at the neglect of all else.

I have no interest in finances, that's up to the board, if I'm sacked...which I frequently have been in the past two incarnations, I adhere to the "pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again" ism.

Back to back is possible, it's never pretty, but possible...but realistically I'd aim for two seasons in each division.

That's as close to a tip as you'll get in here

Not looking for a tip just a general idea of the time people have taken

But thanks for the response, 2 seasons per promotion seems just about feasible(if not difficult). Got a promotion in my first season, I doubt next season I can make it a double...my squads so poor

And of course it's all about the journey but I'm also looking upon this as my new challenge: making Farsley Celtic the number 1 world superpower. I will achieve this, it's just a metter of how long it takes, might take 20 seasons or maybe 60 but I will do it!
