It's just along the road from Inverness, which is the Capital of the Highlands....

There are different definitions of the Highlands, political, geographical and geological. The last one I believe makes most of the North of Scotland the Highlands based on a fault line.

boring you all now so I'll shut up. :p </BLOCKQUOTE>

Yeh, just for the record, the geological definition is this: the fault line that runs diagonally across Scotland, marked by Loch Ness is the border - everything north and west is The Highlands. Thus Inverness is the NE corner.

I used to drive to home games at ICT from Skye - what a journey.

BTW, nothing against Elgin City but I do hope they finish bottom of Div 3 this season, just so E. Stirling get a reprieve, otherwise being last 3 seasons in a row means they might get the boot!

KUTGW in your game tho.

I thought the fault was from Arran heading NE to Stonehaven, looks like I'm wrong again

It's not looking good for Elgin this year, heading up there in a few weeks to watch them, maybe give out a few pointers.

Yes, the SW corner cuts through Arran and Bute (my family are from Rothesay - long way from Cambodia!). Maybe the definition of the boundary is in the hands of the respective tourist boards!

Never been to Elgin's ground - say hello to cold weather for me!

Season 2010-2011
Elgin

Scottish 3rd division (odds 40-1, board want safe mid-table, Media 9th)

Well quite a turnaround this season, the changes made at the end of last season to our tactics were kept. A huge clearout of players, leaving a bare bones squad of what I felt were decent players.

A promising start to the season, saw us in the top half of the league, by Christmas we were battling for 2nd place with Stirling.

The rest of the saeaon had us sitting third, even a sticky patch towards the end couldn't stop our drive to the play-offs.

My defence had finally come good, still struggled to score at times but always looked dangerous. It was the season of 1-0 wins.

Final Position: 3th
P36 W17 D9 L10 F41 A28 Pts60

Play-offs v. Stirling
A good defensive show at home, and a great second half in the away leg and we were through to the final.
home 0-0
away 0-2

Play-off Final - Montrose
A good draw that left me feeling confident. the damage was done in the away leg, ensuring a comfortable home game. Promotion
away - 1-2
home - 2-0

Second Division here we come!!

Cups still suck arse!

side note - Don't usually pay much notice outside my own league, but couldn't help but notice Fulham reaching the F.A. Cup Final and got to the Champions League knockout stage.

p.s. now i understand even more the beauty of LLM, my first success and it feels great.

Cheers Chris, but I feel it's going to be tough next season, even with the board giving me first transfer budget of £1K.

Forgot to add some info on new club records set this season:-

Man of the Match awards - 10 - burly striker
Goals in a season - 21 - burly striker
Home attendance - 3679 - Play-off Final home leg
Highest gate receipts - 2£8K play-off Final home leg again

In total the club made a profit of over £100K (almost half of the clubs' debt) after 4 years of losses.
