It's just along the road from Inverness, which is the Capital of the Highlands.

Jeebs is correct about the Highland League, although that league covers quite a large area, with a few of the teams not technically being in the Highlands e.g. Cove Rangers, Fraserburgh and Inverurie.

There are different definitions of the Highlands, political, geographical and geological. The last one I believe makes most of the North of Scotland the Highlands based on a fault line.

boring you all now so I'll shut up. :p

Season 2009-2010
Elgin

Scottish 3rd division (odds 10-1, board want safe mid-table)

Least said the better, 99% of season spent in 9th place. That only due to Albion Rovers being even worse.

Some of my youngsters from a couple of seasons back are turning into good players, but unfortunately our centre backs are useless, and any decent ones are not interested in signing for us. In fact hardly anyone wants to sign, don't really blame them.

Applied for a couple of jobs, including Crawley, but got rejected. Still have two years to run on my current £40pw contract, I am going to give it one more year here, and if no improvement then I'll resign.

For some reason, board and fans are happy with me still, even though the only record we managed to achieve this season, was a new all time low home attendance (308).

Final Position: 9th
P36 W12 D7 L17 F49 A49 Pts43

Cups suck arse!
