I have just accepted the job at Liverpool , of course I didn't look at the squad silly me, being blinded by the 8,500 Pounds Sterling in front of me in a metal suitcase. **** that, I want a thousand more.
Anyways, I have inherited a side as worthy as Charlton, with bespectacled Spaniard giving his successor little funds, in an EPL kind of way, and what I want to ask LLaMas is what are your experiences if you had accepted a higher club's job. Was a big regret or something like "Stalybridge can kiss my cash-bulging fanny pack"
I don't ever play in the EPL but I have to say promotion generally comes too quickly. It seems that 3 seasons in, regardless of any lack of success you are likely to get offered jobs at an unrealistic level.
In retrospect I should have turned them down & waited for a smaller job.

I accepted, in a moment of madness, and lasted less than half a season as it was boringly easy, thereby losing one of the best saves I'd had with Leigh RMI (NB, the Leigh RMI Challenge was done with the England quickstart, so that shows a small one Nation game can last 30 seasons in previous versions of CM)
Sounds like suicide to me...I did the exact same thing, taking the poisoned chalice of Liverpool ( ) after many seasons of toil with Runcorn, blinded by the shiny bling bling of EPL football. The results were not pretty.
Same thing happened in my Weston-super-Mare --> Stockport --> Spurs game. It gets quite dull once you are in charge of one of the top clubs. I only completed one season with them and then got bored

Possibly because I had Liverpool down as my favorite team.
Is it against the rules to go back to the save before I accepted the job? I have not played a day pass clicking accept.
Bottom line, if you went back now I certainly wouldn't seek you out and tar and feather you, and If I'd had the opportunity all those years ago I'd probably have done the same.
