I think I am getting very deeply involved with this save. This season actually bringing out raw emotion!
Started the year with 2 wins then 2 draws i was riding high and confident of a better season.
I then embarked on a dreadful run (again) that say me slip down to 3rd from bottom. with 2 games to go I was 3 points ahead of FC Moscow and had a home tie against them.
A 3-0 gubbing seemed to doom me, as I had Locomotiv Moscow at home in my last match. The boys left nothing in the changing room and I felt elated with the 2-1 win.
With some trepidation I checked the final scores and FC Moscow had lost 4-3 to Baltika, conceding the winner in injury time.
The balloon of joy was quickly deflated when a news item informed that I had a relegation playoffto play against FC Moscow.
And what a game it was. 1-0 up with 5 minutes to go, 2 of my players get red carded. The get a dodgy penalty in injury to force it into extra time against my 9 men. Somehow I score again, and then in an amazing backs to the wall effort, I hang on to retain my premier league status, with every outfield player on a yellow!
