Default Finally I think I'm starting to get into this game

Playing with Stevenage Borough (I know not "strictly" LLM but blame my sloth of a PC, even Conference and above struggles to run!) and currently in my 2nd season.

Tried a few times to get a game started with them, but silly amounts of bookings and the problem where no matter how defensive I set my defence, the long ball over the top always eludes them caused my enthusiasm to wane.

Now, having updated with the patches that have come out, I feel the game is now more realistic for us LLaMas, even if I do seem to be losing money hand over fist However, staving off bids for my best players is almost half the fun, and the complete lack of transfer funds has allowed me to really look closely at my players.

As a result, I've tried numerous tactics to try and generate the best performance - I seem to have cracked it away from home, and at home against better opposition; just need to develop my home tactic now.

Will look to post a 3-season update as and when I reach that point in my career, but just thought it was worth noting what I've found out so far.

Anyone else enjoying a better LLM experience?

I don't think I've ever seen "enjoying" and "LLM" in the same sentence unless they've been preceded by a "not"

In the past, it was promotion or a mid table battle and that was it for me.

Post 7.02, the best season I have ever had was a season where I avoided relegation with a run of 4 wins from 4 games at the end of the season.

Avoiding relegation is a MUCH better feeling than winning a league .

I thought the 'herts' in your name might have meant you were a jambo, but going by your location I doubt it.

Just as well though, as I believe Mad Vlad has a rule about jam tarts gathering together in groups of two or more. (I know Ian, your an ex-jambo - but that's a temporary position) he doesn't want them conspiring against him. The only time he wants to see them together is at his castle.

The fact that there is more fun in avoiding relegation than winning leagues is probably because when do we ever win leagues?
