Apparently, if you delete the subfolders in the data\hints folder, they go away. Haven't tried this myself though.

It's a general question for a general question forum, but I believe the answer is yes, they can be turned off.

By the headers and rules that Chris was referring to was not necessarily that you broke any rules, f_magoo, but that this is posted in the wrong place. The GQers are more likely to help you.
