All this talk of defence and attack being the best form on defence is bulls**t. We need to take a leaf out of Tony and George's book, or the two B's as I affectionately like to call them.
What we need is pre-emptive action. In a world where we can't be sure what option the oppostion may take next, we need to make our move one stage earlier. And by that, I mean before the game.
What you should actually do is anyone's guess. Just remember, the biggest danger you face is when your right back is in possession of the ball. What will he do? Hit it into row z? Play a suicidal pass across his own goalmouth with the keeper looking the other way at some totty in the crowd? You've guessed it, thats the one. It is for this reason I always play both right and left sided sweeepers behind my full backs. It gives them another option of a pass that isn't that suicidal across the goal mouth pass.
Now, in order to prevent your right sided sweeper from choosing that suicidal pass across the goalmouth, you need to employ a right of centre sweeper.......
