My PSP turns on and loads up the screen with all the options, the screen where you can change the background. However, the PSP will not load the UMD, any ideas? Having to use my sisters!!

Sounds like ur UMD drive is cactus...have u done any firmware updates/mods recently?
Try updating firmware...otherwise ill buy it off u for $5
