Will people stop trying to ruin my enjoyment of the game by complaining that there are too many goals. FM07 was so frustrating at times due to strikers missing simple chances, this has not been an issue for me as yet on FM08 and I like it that way. I play attacking football so therefore expect to score a fair few and concede a fair few, this now happens. I personally will not be downloading the full paych just in case SI listen to you people...

i just saw bottom of the table derby (who can hardly manage to score half a goal a game) beat mid table reading (who boast an impressive defensive record) 7-0!! and that was at the mad stad

Stat alert: there are actually far too many goals. I've just played a World Cup tournament which saw an average of 3.7 goals scored per match, whereas the norm for a World Cup is approximately 20 (I think). That's quite a huge difference over 64 matches.

But when you expect chances to be converted more often than not - with penalties - the opposite was true with just 10 out of 23 scored.

6 games, almost 10% of the total, saw 7 or more goals scored:

Mali 4 Turkey 3
Nigeria 7 South Korea 2
South Africa 1 USA 6
Argentina 4 Denmark 3
England 6 France 4

Nothing wrong with the odd freak result, but if your getting 3 or 4 a season or constantly seeing it in other games then it makes FM a laughing stock.

Incidently all out attack is way too effective. I can just get 2 goals in the first 20 mins with a good side and cruise the game.

AI not exactly the brightest spark and no doubt SI will sort this game out it be the best ever. Its hopeless one its lost a man or two.

There were few killers initially with FM2007 and it ended up damn good version in the end.

Problem is dont want the freak result eradicated but it does need some tweaking.
