My new idea is to be able to get permission from a club to talk to a player, at the moment if you want to talk to a player you HAVE to agree a fee with the club first but in football you do get times when a club agrees terms with a player THEN they try and agree a fee with the selling club, I am sure everyone has heard this before “we spoke to the player and he wanted to come but we could not agree a fee with the club” or “we agreed terms with the player but the club was wanting more than we were willing to pay”
I think when you click on a players profile there should be an option saying “permission to talk” and if you click it the club can either accept or reject your offer to talk to the player. One option should be you can offer a contract to a player straight away and if he agrees THEN you and the club try and thrash out a deal. If the deal breaks down it can sour relationship between the two managers or clubs, and when you face the team it can add a bit of spice to the game and if you beat them the taste of victory all that bit sweeter!
Another option is getting permission to talk to the player and just asking if he is interested in a move to your club
