Hello all,

I've just fired up FM2008 (with patch 8.0.1) for the first time and decided to start unemployed in Italy. Got a job offer from San Marino and they offered a terrific tranfer budget of £100k. However, now that I have accepted the job, it appears that I have nothing to spend. Zero, zilch, nada. Not a penny.

The previous manager spent £17k at the start of the season. It is now January and the transfer screen reads that I have a budget of £100k but a remaining budget of £0k. I just can't work this out.

Has the chairman conned me or is this a mistake in the game?

Grateful for any advice - I can't find any pertinent information on the search. Will I ever get my budget back? What is going on?

I had a similar problem to this. I had a message at start of the season i had £35 million to spend it then dissapeared. I asked for extra transfer funds and the board gave me £35 million to spend, hope this helps

Isn't San Marino a country(sorry if it's a club, i'm a bit thick)

There's a club and country. Crouch, have you looked in your finances section, see if there's anything wrong there?

San Marino is both a country and a club.
The club that I am managing are San Marino Calcio and they are a professional team playing in the lower Italian leagues. Hope this answers your question.

DiscoStu94 - I have a had a look and I can't really see anything major amiss.

It seems to have just wiped out my transfer budget entirely. I was definitely offered £100k when I accepted the job offer.

On closer inspection of the bugs part of the forum, I have found one or two people with similar problems.

Ah, then it probably just another bug in the game, why don't you just add it using editor, or you could just get everyone in on frees, make it a challenge!

Have you checked to see that you have no incomming transfer at a later date?

Tom L - thanks for this idea. I have doubled checked and there are no future transfers agreed.

It is very strange. Something seems to have gone wrong here. As I mentioned before, my transfer budget is £100k, the percentage available is 0% and the remaining budget is £0.
I haven't spent a penny and, like I said before, the manager before me has only spent £17k. Very bizarre.
