I tried google searching for some widescreen patches or topics to lead me to having a better view of the game. I am currently using LCD Widescreen 22-inch and i found all those words are stretched,dampened and strains the eye.
here is one of the site who has widescreen patch, problem is they need u to pay some at least 20 US bucks to let u have it "wtf?!" http://www.fullreleases.biz/NewMembers/pre_search.php?a...20widescreen%20patch
hopefully theres some FM gamer here who has widescreen monitor and knows the solution. enlighten me and ur efforts are pretty cherished.  |

Use windowed mode, it destroys all stretches and makes it look stunning again.

thanks for helping and pointing out the darn cracked website.
is there any other way to make it utilize my full screen besides making it smaller to have perfect view?

Windowed mode. Or you can always run other applications in the free space you have.
For Windowed, go to your desktop, right click FM08's icon and change target to: "C  Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\fm.exe" -small_screen -windowed

The annoying this is that even windowed it doesn't work properly on mine.
FM07 is fine, but FM08 I have to scroll to make any substitutions, which is a major pain because my mouse wheel is broke.

Just use the following on your shortcut...
Example:
"D games\fm2008\fm.exe -fullscreen_height=800 -fullscreen_width=1280 -small_screen"

You'll need to alter the resolution as you wish, and leave the path to whatever you have set.

To make mine widescreen, I do this on the shortcut window
"C Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\fm.exe" --fullscreen_width=1280
change the width to your resolution width, and it will be perfect full screen and widescreen  | |
