Default Please can you scrap the ****ing team talks for FM09!!

TBH I am getting fed up with team talks having such an effect. At the start of the game they are great because you can use them to your advantage, but in my 3rd season, all the responses are "Doesn't seem to be listening", therefore meaning they have no effect on my team.

This wouldn't be a problem if we had more choice, but with 4 options (mostly) to choose from, this is quite frankly getting ridiculous.

So, either expand the options and make some helpful comments on what effect they will make, or completely scrap them.

One other thing, I never let my ass man do them as he always upsets morale and the team complain.

Top game apart from that!

Or, you know, they could make them better?

Yes Ackter I agree with you, hence my comment about expanding the options we have. This I feel would have more of an impact as we are not choosing the same 2, 3 or 4 responses all the time. If SI aren't going to do that, then they should make it ala FM05 (ie no team talks).

They have an effect irl so deal with it.

Expectation: Ackter will get flamed for his comment now lol.

Actually I think Ackter's mostly right. Ranting about the game in this specific forum will not help anything... But from what I read, Actker also agrees that the programming was not so precise.

Then again, you have to realize that this game requires LOTS and lots of programming and logic... It may be hard for SI to keep up with it.

So I think SI should just get new,, more talented and organized programmers. Because the current ones are fixing one problem and creating another one...

This is all due to the unorganized nature of the game's source.

(And by unorganized I don't mean you don't set the classes right and stuff... I'm just saying the classes aren't interacting as well as they should.)

It is true that team talk always have little effect. Something that should be solved, or scrappe out of FM2009. I'm not keen on saying something if my team doesn't listen.

Just realised thats a typo, should read NOT having such an effect i.e. everyone ignores what you are saying. But if you choose None, they get angry with you, what's the difference?

I also believe that a team talk can have a huge effect on second half perfromances, but do believe that the curren toptions are a bit too general and a bit of a lottery.

On 06 I let my Asst Manager do them, but "For the fans" seems to be all they say this time around so I do it myself now.

I must admit I'm leaving it down to my assistant at the moment because I just don't feel like going to all the hassle of analysing how certain players respond to certain team talks under certain conditions. I'll pick an overall team talk if I feel there is one there that really represents my thoughts on the match, but most of the time I haven't got a clue what to say. It feels like an exercise in choosing the option that is least likely to make your team play like donkeys at times.
