I think the threads like this appearing are down to one thing- people are starting to get bored with new FM releases following the same pattern of an incredibly flawed release, followed by a couple of months before the game is in a decent state. Especially as the game itself isnt exactly taking huge strides forward each year.

Thats understandable, I still like 07 over 08 but the fact that there is at least three new threads a day started is a bit much. There are plenty of these type of threads to post in, not start another new one.

How is he a fan boy? He is pointing out that there are a lot of threads like this with almost the same issue, thats not being a fan boy thats pointing out that alas there are many threads like this.

In fairness, "Ackter's" a "fanboy" in so much as this isn't the only type of thread he turns up in to belittle a comment that is made negatively towards the game....

Thing is though, I read a lot of the threads on this forum (and have done over a long period of time), and he has been here for a long time, so maybe he knows a bit more about it all that the new poster that just logs in to complain, so labels such as "fanboy" are a little easy to use to insult.

However, from the casual gamers perspective (who loves the game but doesn't have the time to post), I'm not particularly happy about seeing threads by new joiners attacked when they express their feelings against this quality, yet flawed game. I love the FM series, and prior to this the CM series (have purchased every game since inception), but this current incarnation is not, frankly, to me, working as it should.... And I'm not saying this to start a row.

In my opinion, and has obviously been stated in other threads (delete away), there is an issue with the match engine. I have been prompted to post this through literally exasperating at the amount of one on one chances a striker can miss.... I have so many examples over the two seasons of my new game that I can't bare to mention..... But, it just isn't right when some unknown player goes one on one with your own keeper and introduces the ball to the top corner of the net with 9 finishing on his first go!

Anyway........ I don't wish to argue about tactics. I don't wish to argue at all in fact. I'm just stating my feelings. Knowing and loving football as I do, I am aware that, once in a while a team can be caught by a sucker punch and lose a game when on top. I also know that when a team is dominant, the likelihood is that they will win the match. This is the usual way of things. But when circumstance A occurs more often than not and circumstance B becomes rare, then, well, things aren't right.

I've written too much here, and I'm sure many will disagree and say the game is just fine it's just me, but this is the way I feel when I play the game. It is the first time I am struggling to enjoy it.

Bullshit, everyone was complaining about not having the patch before it came out, and now that it has, why are there people still complaining that it's worse when it's obviously much better.

Some people just want to complain. I suggest Free Cell for a bugless game.

Well, as you're just a passer-by, I won't take you're comments to heart but I will give you my opinion.

Yes, the game is much better than since its release, but it is not up to the previous high standards that have been set, and if there seriously isn't an issue with the match engine and the programmers say as much then we will just have to take it on the chin.

I, honestly think there might be though.

What's wrong with people this day an age? So you put down 25 for a game that frustrates you at times, you sound so angry that you would rather move to Sudan than buy another FM game. Is that really what you want, to move to Sudan rather than get a game that has a few bugs in it? Shame on you sir. I hope you realize one day how little this means in the grand scope of things.
