A better idea would be to buy the game every 2 years. I have been going to do that for years but I just can't help myself. |

| Agree with you there reece1973
FM08 is still awaiting a "Final" patch (8.0.2?) which won't be available until the new year sometime.
No sooner is it released that the beginnings of FM09 will be touted around.
I've said it before and I fully agree with the OP - I don't understand how SI think they can do it, releasing a new game every year only to be bombarded by "whining threads" on here and for countless bugs to be discovered.
I know it's a seasonal game, but they really only need update the database one year, then release a new game the next year (a game where they would have spent TWO years developing the match engine alone).
All the new features are pointless if the main course - the Match Engine - is so obviously very flawed.
But of course, they won't do that, not a chance, which pretty much renders this particular thread totally pointless.

As long as the game sells they keep milking the cow. EA does the same with FIFA/NHL/NBA etc, but at least on their releases the essential features work as intended on the released version.

Good thing about the ps3. You can download patches to it.

They wouldn't make it past the first gap year. No company would.
| Essentially, you think that they should come up with poor-quality versions like FM08 every year just to keep their financial heads above the water.
