I along with most thought Hargreaves was one of the good things to come out of the last world cup and was one of our best players but does one good tournament warrant a £17 million pound price tag. Ferguson has made these decisions before with rio and rooney and they've paid off but how much do we really know about hargreaves game from the little we've seend of him lets not forget that he's played many a time for England before the world cup and failed to shine. I guess only time will tell on whether Sir Alex has done it again.

He is just in his prime, remember players reach their prime at around 25 and if you look at players in his position like gattuso and makalele the older they get the better their game becomes so I think it is a great signing, we didn't have any players who could win us the ball until now.

As for the price, that's what you get charged for being Utd.

Just be happy you're not in our (Chelsea) shoes. We'd have probably had to pay 27m for him.
