Default Help with editor please

I made some adjustments to the original database and saved it under a new name, but nowhere does it give me the option when i try to make a new game of which database to use so it always uses the original one =/ How do i make it use a different database?

There should be a window that brings up a dropdown menu immediately after you click to create a new game. Don't rush, and make sure that you read what's on screen before rushing on to play this fantastic game.

Look for the folder where the new database have been saved. I'm in the US, so when i installed the game, two folders were created, Football Manager and Worldwide Soccer Manager, both in my documents/sports interactive. All my modifications to the database get saved in the football manager folder. In order for me to load a new database, i have to move it from football manager/db folder into wsm/db folder. Then it shows up in the dropdown menu as the 1st step in creating a new game.

One reason this happens is you guys have selected a custom folder to use for you saved games...once you have done that, the game will load automatically because it doesn't see your created database...

Go to the preference page, change the folder option back to the original file (usually cmy documents\sports interactive\football manager2007...or something close, can't really remember...) and you should get the option to select your new database...

If you cannot get back to the original folder...another way is to do a clean install...uninstall the game, remove everything (don't worry, your preferences and created database will not be lost...) then re-install the game...now...don't change the default folder...when you click new game, a popup will show you that the option is to use the default database...click on the word default and you should see a drop down with your created database on it...select that and you're well on your way...

I am having the same problem.

I have created a team to put into the conference north.

Now I have edited game to move all relegated teams and promoted teams so league numbers are all correct, I have also dropped a team from conference north so that my team can go in.

Everything on the editing side is fine, database is still there even after restart.

Yet I am unable to start a new game with my new team, I have already checked for Data Save File, and it is set as default.

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP, IM AM DYING TO START WITH MY NEW TEAM!
