Hi,

I updated my FM07 first with the 7.01 then the 7.02 updates. Then, I tried to edit the 7.02 database to make ammendments and to try to give a premiership team a B-Team.

However, after I saved the database, it wasn't listed when I tried to create a new game. I've tried different experiements of editting and saving to try and deduce whether the game doesn't like certain edits - but it will not save anything.

Whatever I edit, big or small, the editted database does not appear when I try to load a new game.

I'd be extremely greatful for any help with this topic, which, seems like a common problem.

Please ignore this message. Problem is now solved. It was just a case of messing around with the preferences user folder.

I need to know the answer to this too. When I start a new game, it gives me the option to load the database, but when I actually go into the game none of the changes I have made have taken place.

Any help on this would be a godsend. Thanks.

Yep, same problem here and it's driving me insane trying to fix it! I've moved the database into each of the three locations specified by the official site but it still won't pick up on them

it could be u set user Data Folder to ur own choice folder instead of default one...editor saves the data to "my document..SI" folder and your new games search ur User data folder.

Think I may have stumbled upon a solution - make sure that the xml file contained within your saved database contains all the pertinent information (ie - the editor doesn't appear to be saving things like Name, Version number, etc). Take a look at the xml file for one of the working databases and copy/paste the missing sections. This worked for me (much to my immense relief).
