Does anyone know what I haven't done right??

That quote is from a few years back and its dealing with CM 03/04 i think, but i took as it explains (better than i could) my problem with FM2007.
I created a player, made him a history in which he had played for 4 years in the same club, and scored 27 goals. This should make him the highest scorer of league goals for the club of existing squad, so when he scores a goal in-game, hes name should be shown in Clubs history -> Players -> Most league goals for club, as you might have already understod, it doesnt showup, and it just shows the number of goals he has scored in the actual save i am playing.
The reason this happened in the case of which the quote is about, was because of some thing with the actual official game editor. Same problem now? Or can this somehow be changed?
