Why would you want a No-cd crack anyway. Only holders of pirate copies bother with cracks, as true FM enthusiasts rarely take the CD out of the drive anyway, I know I don't. And paying less than £30 a year for the best game ever is definitely worth it. So NO no-cd cracks, NO pirate versions, just play the game.

heh just to clear some few details up. I do in no way condone the use of cracks or suggest that you should use them. My facts are based off articles and the likes that I have read online and not my personal experiences. I am only presenting facts and do not encourage the use of cracks.

1. Cracks are not illegal, they are legal as long as you are the rightful owner of the game you got the crack for and it's fully written by the "crak-maker". Usually crack makers copy code and edit, which is in a grey zone of the law. The possible reason for it being banned from this forum is that, as said before, mostly only pirated copies use cracks.

2. The security messure in FM against cracks is very good. It messes with your training schedual and decreases the effects of training. (as to where a player might become world class with the right training wit the original discs, he will only become mildly good with the same training with the crack.

3. What is a No-CD crack?

A no CD-Crack is an edited executable and/or dll files that are edited so that the function that searches for the CD in drive will be disabled or tricked. There are several forms for copy-protection that works against these codes. You replace these files with the originals and in that way block or edit the code written by SI developers. This aspect of cracking is considered illegal as you are changing the original coding of Football Manager 2007 without any authorization.

sorry canabary but cracks ARE illigal as they are modifying the exe file.

not modifying the exe file is part of the user agreement that you click 'yes' to before you start the game.

so to agree to the agreement you have to be the rightful owner of the game.

which means rightful owner or not cracks are illigal.

please read my post again.. the illegal aspect is modifying, there are some cracks that are originally written by another person, true it's more or less copies part of the SI code but it is still in the grey zone as it's written more or less completely by the crack-maker (often by not editing program code but creating a "launcher" that works around the protection code.

as well as the training thing , transfers are messed up with cracks i heard somewhere on here..

you pay twice as much or something for each transfer...
