In all honesty, boys and girls (if any), team-talks are a very poorly implemented module and better left alone in my humble opinion. Why risk rolling a die to hit a six when it's very likely you'll hit 1–5 and potentially ruin your chanced for success in that particular match? The fact is, team-talks are nothing short of a lottery and they are not welcome in my game. I can see why SI have included them in the game, but it's not working. How do I know? Well, I've studied them a LOT:
There has been many a few occasions when I have turned a game on it's head with a team-talk, only to check my assistant's feedback, and realise that none of my players were listening at half-time. If 'Whatever the manager said at half-time' was the reason I won the match, then you would expect my players to have had some kind of reaction. What the game doesn't need at the moment is more randomness, and until SI fix the module, I will always deem team-talks as a blemish on the game. I would never ever tell anyone how to play the game, since there are more ways than just mine, but if you were to ask me how to use team-talks, I would, without hesitation, tell you to LEAVE IT FOR YOUR ASSISTANT UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES. Your Assistant is part of the code, so you would assume that 'he' knows how the game works more than we do. I am 90% certain that I have had most success with teams that I do not give team-talks to. I am currently top of the Premiership with Blackburn after 14 games, I haven't lost, and the morale of every player, except Bentley whom I told wasn't performing, is at superb. I would venture as far as saying that having your Assistant set to team-talks directly correlates to your success. Controversial right?

| I would completely disagree. The assman is not right under all circumstances. Under very rare circumstances will you find the right assman. Teamtalks are not a lottery if you spend enough time on it. Not having the ability to use them well yourself should not be the justification for advising others not to use them at all.

Totally agree with you rashidi1, Id go as far as saying these can have as much an impact on a game as your tactics.
I do, however, think that the Assman reports on your team talks isnt always correct/complete.
Not sure if this is intentional or not. Case in point, if you give Rooney a pregame individual talk of "expect a performance" he will normally play alot better than with any other individual/team talk yet the Assman report will alwats show no response noted from Rooney.

Winning the Champions League with Accrington Stanley and not doing one team-talk is enough proof for me, and since mine is the only game world I see, then I know it's the truth. I never advised anyone, if you read my post, I clearly stated that if you were to ask me, then this is the answer I would give. Personally, I don't think it's possible to ever find out what a team-talk does since the assistant's feedback system is broken. This is one thing that you can't hide from: 'Wasn't listening' yet turned the game around just doesn't cut it for me. FM would be a better place without team-talks I would vehemently argue.
