Im playing with Arsenal in the Fm 2008 Demo,

I haven't made any signings so my top strikers are Van Persie and Adebayor. Every game my team dominates but when it comes to scoring its either wide or high.
Can anyone recommend any tactics or training.

I have same problem. In every game I have more shots, I dominate the game and my passing % is better than my AI team but I lost or draw. I can't understand.

What's your passing/tempo settings?

Also, how far in are you? Are we talking pre-season friendlies?

I have Short Passing, And a quick tempo. Im into late September now.
The thing is that it wasn't happening before it just recently started about 2-3 games ago/

I have this problem too, with Fulham. I've yet to score a goal in 4 games (lost 1-0 followed by three 0-0 draws). We're creating plenty of chances but rarely get a shot on target.

Me too. Asked in some threads, but they are more concerned abt trying to resolve the closing down issue...though i think u can find a way...in gloryutd's thread he has said that while closing down has improved with his tactic, he is unable to create good chances (at least thats what i have assumed)...but with me, while i am satisfied with my CDs and can ignore a couple of errors by wingers and fbs, it is the inability to score even after creating many chances is a major problem...one improvement that i have noticed with Chelsea is i chose continental reputation and my strikers have been scoring lots of goals....scored 33 in 15 games :p

Go to the bible..there's a thread called FM Clinic ..or something of that nature..use the principles there to guide you.

It wont work. some of the 'remedies' given for this 'ailment' are as below:

- Reduce individual long shot instructions to “rarely.” - It is
- Reduce creative freedom for players spurning chances - CF is 7-8
- Lower team tempo, particularly if playing a short passing game - pssing and tempo both at the same level
- Keep an eye on a player’s personality screen, particularly after your pre-match media comments. Use individual team talks to relax them, or reassure them you have faith in their ability - always use this for my main players with low morale
- Increase shooting training for the player, and see above for morale - shooting 17 and composure 16...though wlll increase shooting and see how it goes
- Lower creative freedom and if they have a passing option available, set “cross ball” to “mixed” or “often.” - use this always

The only difference between my Chelsea game and all others is the morale...and it is a self-defeating cycle...morale wont go up if u dont win and you wont win if u dont score

Hmm apart from that I'd then take a look at the kind of chances your tactic is creating..stick a pkm up and I'll take a look.
