Has anybody tried using 2007 tactics in the demo yet and had any success?

I'm considering using Franky's MUFC tactics for my Liverpool team to get a feel for how the game is played before I start trying to develop my own tactics for the game.

I've tried some FM07 tacs, but can't say that they made a huge impact as they did on '07

YES and NO, not yet.

it certainly is harder to win away

you really need to play it defensive and counter attacking with pace

me opening two games with liverpool were 3-2 loss to everton, 3-0 loss at west ham

I'm closing this thread because it adds nothing. You can't compare 07 tactics to 08 cos the engine has gone through innumberable builds. You need to change your style and need to think; for one thing we know closing down gets harder the deeper you play..hence deep formations won't do too well.

In fact if you want to play deep and counterattackng you could. You would just have to outslug the AI. So why play deep if closing down doesn't work well? Why not take the game to the AI. Why not play with a normal mentality for insurance, and then push up and force the AI to defend, always keeping an eye on your defense with the right instructions? Nope..let's forget about 07 if we want to talk about tactics 08 is a different breed, better and requires more simplicity
