It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

At least I hope they will. Based on what PaulC said about closing down..he is aware of the defensive lapses it creates, the attacking flow of the game is clear to see. So I'm optimistic and actually more excited than I've ever been for any release since 03/04.

Honestly I was disappointed with 06 and 07, features aside they did nothing for me, tactically wise. This one at least has a lot more potential and that's just telling from the demo.

There are still some glaring fixes that need to be made, and one of these is critical to my style of play which is LLM. And that has to do with scouts/coaches and finances. Traditionally FM has been solid out of the box for english leagues not so for leagues outside of england.

I'm so excited about this launch, I've even edited my soundfiles, compiling my graphics and just waiting for the launch. I already have a new set of nets, pitch icons, referee icons, sound files with chants...I've never done that for any game. Something tells me this one is going to be special, something also tells me people are actually going to find it a lot more easier to make tactics. FM2007 was a nightmare for the novice.

Off topic but where are you getting sound files from?

Are they the same 'sounds' as FM2007

Nope they're not...I just dug through every old thread in the forum for the last 5 years.
