I stumbled across a little technique that worked quite well for me.
After going a goal up in the second half. the opposition went more attacking against me.
To protect my lead i went more defensive and played a direct counter attacking game, played to my target mans head. But my target man was being beaten in the air by the oppositions 2 giant centre backs.
While trying to defend i also wanted to remain a threat upfront.
I decided to set my target man and quick striker on specific man marking and selected the oposition full backs for each of them to mark.
When i lost the ball my forwards pulled wide to mark the full backs and were followed out by each centre back. Spotting the gap i put my AMC's farrow longer to the edge of the opposition penalty area.
The next time i broke up an attack. My defender hit a long ball to the target man, who out jumped the full back and headed into the path of my AMC to drill it home. My amc got a hatrick in the last 10 minutes playing this way.
I just thought it might be worth a mention for others to try as it has worked for 3 games on the trot against a team pressing for a late equeliser. my AMC has 5 goals in the last 3 games all from the same routine.
AMC = Attacking midfield centre.
