After looking at a lot of people's tactics, it seems that most people deploy forward runs in their midfield, probably after watching players like Gerrard and Lampard bomb up and bown the midfield of their clubs, scoring goals for fun,
but what i've decided to do is to use
no
forward runs in my midfield, I feel that this may give my team a slight edge in terms of possesion and quick attacking. To do this, i will be implementing a 4-1-3-2 formation with no wingers in my Arsenal team. Like this:
DM: Gilberto Silva
MC: Cesc Fabregas
MCL: Tomas Rosicky
MCR: Abou Diaby
The formation will be all about slick passing and through balls to my target man (Adebayor), and my "runner" (RvP). To implement this, I will be setting my 3 man Midfield to use deep crosses, through balls and high creative freedom.
You may have noticed that Diaby is the weaker link in the system as passing is not his strength, so what i will be doing with him, is to lower his creative freedom, passing and remove his through balls, this is so he can play the easy ball to the charging Fullbacks.
I feel that this may help dominate in terms of possesion during games, whilst still have that attacking flair.
The system will be given a baptism of fire against Liverpool when my computer is fixed, but for now, if anyone wants to discuss the idea, they're welcome to
