There is many good left backs, i have Philip Lahm and he doing quite awesome, my fans think he was my best purchase.

I play as Arsenal.
Clichy was awesome for me in the first season, won the Premier League and lost the Champion's League Final to Inter Milan on penalties.
My board forced me to sell him to Valencia for £25m though as the offer was too good to turn down.
Traore will be good in future I have no doubt, his stats are similar to Clichy's but I plumped for Baines for £8m to replace Clichy as I needed someone to hit the ground running...any excuse to get another Englishman in the team aswell.
Other full backs I looked at were: -
Taiwo (Marseille)...non EU, 136 days away from French passport at the end of the first season
Lahm (Munich)...not interested
Shorey (Reading)...older than Baines

No point arguing about it, when the fact is that Cristian Chivu is the best leftback in the game.
Averaging above 7.3 the two seasons I've played with Inter and won several awards including Including Serie A Defender of the Year two times in a row.
Also has all the right stats. The only downside is his age but he's got several good years left.
