Just started a game as Peterborough but I know very little of the lower leagues or their players. Also, at the moment I am missing a Scout so until one responds to my advert I have to scout myself

Which leads me to my question: What players are essential here for a team looking to gain promotion? Specifically I'm looking for a goalkeeper but all other positions are welcome.

I just spent ages using the search function and taking names down only to realise the players are from years ago

there is a conference and below thread which has many players who would not be out of their depth in League 2. Definatly worth a look in there

as im a peterborough fan id advise you to keep tyler but at the end of day its your choice mate aslong as you keep boyd,mclean,mackail smith and charlie lee you will do fine but and id look for a new centre mid as i dont rate micah hyde and brought keith andrews from mk dons for bout 100,000 and he is brilliant for me

I just won League 2 with Bradford and in the end it was a 2 horse race with my team and Peterborough being a long way ahead of the rest of the competition, so I'd say you have a very good chance of promotion. Looking at the Peterboro squad, the only players they bought were Marcus Williams and Marc Edworthy as full backs, both did very well and averaged over 7. McLean and Mackail Smith scored plenty of goals while Rene Howe looks like a strong prospect. Charlie Lee got into the Division's Team of the Year aswell.

I recommend you get Jody Morris and Soley Seyfo on frees. Albin Ekdahl from Sweden for £2k is a must buy. Other than that I got by on loans - suggest you try Kostadinov from Hearts, Campbell from Man U and Ashley Chambers from Leicester, Chris Martin from Norwich or Stuart Nicholson from West Brom, they all guarantee lots of goals.

If you have all spanish players loaded then Alex Fernandez is a class striker
