There is actually the option in-game to, shall we say, single a player out for special attention.
Whether it's against the spirit of the game or not, I'll admit I've used it from time to time, just like some managers do in real life. Not that I've noticed it making a difference for me, mind you.

His punctuation and total ignoring of the shift key are going to get him banned from here, however I agree with the "clog him" idea he has.

It happens in real life, "rough him up first tackle and he'll disappear from the game", so why not in FM?

Sportsmanship's an option in real life, why not in the game?

I think I recall SI talking about that option once, I think it may have been a question of legal issues, similar to the one where they couldn't have a player ending up with cancer, or something like that.

That said, I could be wrong. It also doesn't promote fair play, which is a FIFA mandate.
