Having read over the forum rules, I don't see anything against asking a question like this - but if it's against the rules, moderators, please fix me.
I have a question about manager reputation to which it seems someone here might have an answer. Without going into much detail, over 12 years I raised a Spanish Segunda B club to multi-season Primera Liga safety. In the process my manager reputation rose to National. (Incidentally, the club reputation rose from Local to National as well).
I was then sacked and took the Bristol Rovers job in Conference National. I didn't check my reputation immediately after sacking or immediately after being hired, but I noticed a few months later that my manager reputation had returned to Local. A few questions:
*Did this result from accepting a job with a small-time club?
*Is my reputation still "National" in Spain... but relatively unknown outside?
*If I were to return to Spain, would my reputation return to National?
My inclination is that the answers are yes, no, and no. The jobs I've been linked with since taking the Rovers job have consistently been German Regionalliga, Spanish Segunda B, and Italian 3rd division clubs.
Anybody have any insight on this? If this strikes you as more of a general forums-type question - I'm asking here because 1) the general forms are crap and 2) I figure someone here might have a better answer. Thanks.
Good question Rem and in no way out of place here, but you might want to try GQ as well, as there are boffins there who are more into the game mechanics than the general LlaMa
I did the same thing with a team in Portugal. My reputation in Portugal was national when I left and it still should be as I've been offered jobs from other top division teams in Portugal but the fact that I resigned may have an effect on how long my reputation there lasts.
Your rep in Spain will deteriorate over time if you don't go back.
Your rep in all other leagues will initially be local.
It's also relevant that if you chose Spanish as your nationality you will get an advantage in the form of knowledge if you move to a Spanish speaking country.
