Made joint favourites for promotion. Guess what happened? Yep, we miss out on the playoffs again. By one measly point Despite the promise I made myself at the end of last season, I decide to give it one more go, as the season was ruined by injuries to key players and retirements. Plus, we walked the Relegation Group with ease.

What's the relegaton group thingymajiggy all about ?

Basically, the season is divided into two halves, with a long winter break inbetween.

The first half sees you play each team (12) in your division twice. The seond half half of the season is then made up of three leagues:

1st Division Championship Group, which is made up of the top eight teams from the 1st Division. Points are carried over.
1st Division Relegation Group, which is made up of the bottom four teams in the 1st Div, and the top four teams in the 2nd Div. Points from the first half of the season are not carried over. The bottom four teams at the end of the season are relegated to (or stay in)the 2nd Division.
2nd Division Relegation Group, with the rest of the 2nd Division teams. The bottom two get relegated. Points are carried over.

So it is entirely possible that you can run away with the Second Division in the first half of the season, and still not get promoted. Pretty complex.
