I've just finished my third season as Forest Green Rovers on FMH06 and thought I'd post an update as well as some general background info.

I took over the team prior to the 2005/06 season with the expectations of avoiding relegation, we finished the season in 14th place and at no time were we in the relegation zone.

2006/07 We were expected to attain a mid-table position which we exceeded by gaining promotion through a first place finish in the Conference. We also had a couple good cup runs with a semi final finish in the FA Trophy and a 1st round finish in the FA Cup.

2007/08 With our promotion to the Football League and a meagre transfer fund of 10k we were once again expected to avoid relegation. The first half of the season proved dificult we scored only 10 points our first 20 games and all hope seemed lost, until we went on a couple of good cup runs and found winning form . We finished the season in 12th place and defeated West Brom in the 4th round of the FA Cup by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately Chelsea beat us in the 5th round at Stamford Bridge by a score of 4-0.

2008/09 Once again the board expect a dificult season, but have allocated decent transfer funds of 70k. Unfortunately we lost 2 players to Bournemouth due to the big club release clause, but we received 180k in return which I've used to buy a GK from Crewe for the sum of 22k. We just played our first friendly against Northampton which we won 3-2.

The 2008/09 season went well, despite expectations the incerease in transfer funds and a couple of loan players allowed us to gain promotion by placing third in League 2. We also had another good cup run which ended in the 4th round against Tottenham.

I just received FMH 07 on Friday so I'm going to stop making updates, it's been enjoyable and far more challenging than taking a premiership team to glory. Oh well I'm off to find a new team to manage and I'm wondering are there any other players out there that play on the PSP?
