Season 2009/2010 Super League

Having ended 6th last season and with two new gµchallenge league teams coming in whom I think I can beat, things were looking bright. An early season victory run sees my expectations met. After 7 matches I'm 3-3-1. I then manage 3 more wins in the other 29 matches, an awful lot of draws and an even more awful lot of losses.

I would like to say this was the aquaplane season, because I often had the upper hand, but conceding last minute goals almost EVERY game saw victory slip my grasp many times. I got 5 clean sheets the whole seasons, 2 of them draws.

Not being able to scout outside switzerland really bugs me because I feel there are no players left who are better than the ones in my team (except the ones playing for the other Super League teams, of course)

Media Prediction: Fight bravely
Board: Avoid relegation zone
Me: respectable mid-table

9th P:36 W:6 D:14 L:16 Gf:36 Ga:53 Pts:32

Playoffs: home:0-0
away: 0-1 up and looking like winning a game since a long time, we get another 90th minute goal against (1-1)

We win on away goals, but the two draws really reflected the season.

cups...you know the drill

Highlight: We turn professional at the end of the season \o/
Lowlight: Last minute goals, grrrr

Transfers: Some carp youngsters leave, noone comes in because of general carpness across the country. My oh my, it's nice to have the board decide to give you 3M transfer fee, but refusing to pay a %@!?}^& trip to a neighbouring country!

No awards involving me, hence nothing interesting there.

All in all a nerve wrecking season, but turning pro left me a glimmer of hope for next season.

The end product looks better than it obviously felt!

You look set for greatness, hope that isn't the kiss of death for you

Going Pro should make a difference to your next season elf bloke.

Season 2010/2011 Super League

predicted dead last again, but this time I had the power to change things. I scouted Europe and had a bit of everything (new keeper, defender,...). We were looking strong all season, although our away form was pretty bad. For some as of yet unknown reason we did concede an awful lot of goals, but we scored even more, so no complaining here.

Going pro and the transfer season cost the club 4M this year...

Board and Fans: Battle Bravely
Media: 10th
Me: Do better than last year.

5th P:36 W:14 D:6 L:16 Gf:58 Ga:53 Pts:32 Rated overachievers of the year again \o/

arse/cups/suck (make a sentence)

Highlights: Winning against Fulham in a friendly and a 6-0 victory over Neuchatel Xamax
Lowlights: Not managing a single goal in the 4 matches against Basel.

Transfers: 9 players in for 2.1M, 16 players out on a free, 1 player for 725k. I also got my star striker to sign a new contract. Not evident if you see how good he is, and how carp my team is. With the renewing of the contracts I also noticed a Physio with skill 1 who I had never seen before, but had apparantly been in the club all the time. I fired him.

I'm really happy with the 5th place and I think it is deserved this time. However due to the local folks I can't build a new stadium, and I think I brought Kriens as far as I could. I'll be on the lookout for a new team in the pre season, not sure if I'll find one though.

The league is dominated by Basel, who have won it for the 5th time in a row and with a difference of 21 pts, with a 10 pt gap being their narrowest win of the league.

My home grown 21 year old striker was topscorer of the league, scoring 23.

You're an achiever

However, I would say you should stay until you've beaten the Basel bug

Nice .

Hang in there at FC Kirens. I don't want you to sell out and take over a 'big boy'.

I'm not planning to take over the 'big boys' but Kriens is becoming pretty big itself and european football isn't that far away. I applied for a few jobs in the italian, french and english lower leagues, but they all ignored me

Just to be sure, is it alright if I request a feeder club? I've got a few very promising youngsters but they can't get first team experience at my team.

tbh I tought the parent/feeder club restriction was only for english lower leagues.

the board couldn't find a feeder club anyway, but I still wouldn't mind an answer on my above question.

Season 2011/2012 Super League

No one answered my job applies, including a french national team who played the whole year without any staff, they must really not want me taking over the team...

I was pretty pleased with my squad last season so I didn't change too much, some players were inevitably sold though, and I found some nice replacements (except for a young winger, who owned his flank).

I had a great first half of the season and at the midway mark I was second with 1 point behind the leaders and 3 points ahead of FC Basel . This form slipped in the second part as we lost some matches undeservedly and the resulting impact on morale and the sale of my winger created a downward spiral for us.

We also lost 2.3M again this season. (still 3.2M in the black though )

Board and Fans: comfortable midtalble
Media: 6th
Me: Do better than last year.

4th P:36 W:17 D:6 L:13 Gf:62 Ga:41 Pts:57 (Oh,I just noticed but last year I had 48 pts instead of 32)
And we're into Europe! \o/ namely the EURO Vase, most laughable of European competitions.

Basel won the league again, this time only with a 9 pt lead though, things are looking hopeful

Cups might as well not exist.

Highlights: Winning 3-1 against Basel !!!
Lowlights: losing our first match 6-1 against fierce rivals Aarau, and finishing 1 point behind them in the league.

Transfers: 4 players including a very promising midfielder for free and signing of the season attacker for 1.1M, all for a total of 2.3M. 14 players out for a total of 1.8M, including my winger for 1M and Leftback for 725k.

Board refused again to expand the stadium, despite an average attendance of 2289 in a 2500 stadium, supposedly due to a lack of money. Now call me crazy, but isn't the whole POINT of a bigger stadium to gain more money to support higher league ventures?

I'm still looking to leave the club and try something new. This supposedly overwhelmed a local radiostation with calls from fans saying that they need me at Kriens. I'm flattered, but not changing plans.

My young homegrown striker wins topscorer award again with 23 goals (17 scored in first half of the season) he also wins the player of the year award and he thanks me for both awards. He also had the most assists (12) and second best average rating of the league. I'm his favoured personnel, but it's gonna be hard to keep him. With 6M he is now worth as much as my club.

Also, San Marino proposed a friendly for next season and I'm very excited at playing against a 'national' team )
