I'm new to this area of llm but i thought that instead of my usual fm games that involve only Championship and Premiership I would instead delve into the depths of the conference and take control of Dorchester. What follows is my first three seasons.
2006/07
Conference South - 5th (Runners up in the promotion playoff to Sutton Utd)
FA Cup - 2nd Rd (I was given no-league opponenets up till this match against MK Dons)
FA Trophy - 4th Qual Rd (Lost 5-0 to Yeading)
Star Players - I got a good keeper on loan from Colchester and he was the main reason my squad did so well. Other than that my squad was pretty ordinary.
2007/08
Conference South - 1st (Won it on the last day with a 1-0 win over Wimbledon)
FA cup - 3rd Qual Rd (largest shootout i've ever had with a 15-14 loss on penalties in replay against Yeading)
FA Trophy - Runners-Up (Suprisingly I also played Wimbledon in this match but lost 3-1)
The Squad - I picked up a large number of released youngsters from the Premier League who most of them turned out to be key players for me. Best were a AM L from Scotland and an English ST. Had an average age of 22.
2008/09
Beginning of the season chairman announces Dorchester were going Pro.
Conference National - 20th (Narrowly avoided relegation by pulling off the win of the season against dominate champions Nottm Forest in the second last match 2-1)
FA Cup - 3rd Rd (After a surprise win over Blackpool in the 2nd Rd I crashed out losing to Bolton 5-0)
FA Trophy - Semi-Final (Lost to Nottm Forest with a second half injury time goal)
The Squad - All I brought in was a new goalkeeper to replace my retiree. My young squad developed well during this season and should perform well next season. Plymouth bought up one of my strikers for 1M at the end of the season, which should me consolidate the side as a National Conference team.
Thats all i've completed so far. Depending on reactions i may post again, but i have definatly learnt that the game can be fun down here in the lower leagues.

Hmmm, call me suspicious if you will but I have never had my scout come up with a load of premiership youngsters that have been, or are coming up to being, released from their contracts.
Conference National - 2nd Promoted via playoffs (beat my old nemisis Wimbledon in the final 4-0 )
FA Cup - 2nd Rd Replay (After earning a draw against BRentford at home lost out 2-1 in the replay)
FA Trophy - Runners-Up (Again I came frustratingly close to this title losing to Chesterfield in front of 30000 people  )
The Squad - Had the signing of the season for 50K in form of a Danish ST didn't spend the rest of that 1M that i got at the end of last season, but probably will in order to survive in the football league.
