It doesn't explicitly forbid affiliations between two English clubs, just that no English team can be a feeder, which stops an English club being a parent to another, but doesn't stop English teams linking up with teams abroad, so long as the English team is the parent club.

If they do, which I don't exactly know, it would support the position that Michal just iterated. It wouldn't support your side having a parent club.

English teams can be parent clubs, but not feeders. It would be a breach of FA rules.

For the record: Sheffield United DO own a Chinese team: Frank sent me there. He has a perverse sense of fun, does our Frank.

They're called Chengdu Blades, although FM lists them as Chengdu Shandian, for some unknown reason.
