I have a question (two really) for some of the more experienced Llama's.

Are there any LLM specific guidelines for the use of grey (non contracted) players? ie. only use if impossible to field 11 contracted players or similar.
What is the real life equivalent of the grey players?

At first I thought it could be like someone bringing his friend along to make up numbers, but that wouldn't work because even trialists can't play competitive fixtures.

Greys are non-contracted players. Nothing wrong with signing them on contracts, but they tend to be ***** [/tip]

Thanks Ian, but is it considered acceptable to use them without offering a contract, or is this unrealistic?

Example, playing a grey that I have no intention of signing or playing a 48% condition recovering from inj. (the unused player would be on the bench)

I was wondering what the real life equivalent is, or if it is just something built into the game allowing us to field a full team that is not really realistic and a {cough} 'grey' area for LLM.

Nah, they can be used. They're part of the squad...a crap part, granted...but one to be used when there's no other option.
