I don't care! This is the last FM07 game I am starting, no matter how many patches/updates are released. Update thread.
I got to 2016 with Hitchin in 7.00.
Don't know what all the fuss was about .
Had a few sending off's in a couple of seasons, but nothing that you wouldn't expect from a team of South American/Italian/Spanish inbreds .
Found the game quite playable .
Injuries weren't <STRIKE>too bad</STRIKE>, (any worse than usual), and I like signing players on 5 year contracts .
I got to 2015, again with Hitchin on 7.01.
Initially I thought that all was good .
Got to League 1, and had a new stadium built, but then my idiot Chairman decided to continue selling my best players despite me having loads of money in the bank .
So now we are up to 7.02

I'm participating in a challenge that shall remain nameless, so I went on holiday for a year and then took over one of the clubs promoted into Conference North/South. I attempted the challenge with FM06 but due to my "general carpness" I didn't complete it .
Bromley are the team that I will be managing for the forseeable future.
I picked them because they were playing in Conference North and Bedford were playing in Conferece South .
Either my Geography isn't all it used to be or someobody got lost somewhere.

We had a pretty useless carp squad of about 20 players, so I bought in 24 new carp ones. After about a month I realised that we were in trouble, so I went out and signed another 24 players, who were less carp than both the original carp squad and their carp replacements.
As usual, I signed a Big Fat Target Man with certain physical characteristics to get me out of Conference North/South, and fed him on a diet of crosses and small babies to keep him in shape. He rewarded me with a considerable number of goals and an equally impressive number of assists, as his aimless headers more often than not found space rather than the net .
My N.Ireland left back was the real star. I was forced to play him on the left wing out of sheer desperation, and he rewarded my <STRIKE>desperation</STRIKE>, inspired faith with both double figure goals and assists.
After an awful carp start we romped up the league and were top by the half way stage. We never relinquished top spot and secured the title with games to spare.
I signed a Big Nigerian Target Man on loan for the season, and he looked quality until he broke his thigh ! He obviously went back home after that .
Players sold 0 for £0.
Players purchased 0 for £0.
Balance £7,000 overdrawn :o.
Cup games won 0.

Well after my first season frivolity with new contracts, I found myself with a huge squad and a huge wage budget.
In a moment of madness I released the 2 giant target men that had propelled me to success last season, and sold/released 22 more, in an effort to reduce my squad size and my wage budget. In their place I signed the Big Nigerian Target Man who I had loaned in last season. He had now recovered from his broken thigh and had been released. Things didn't really work out for him though, as he again succumbed to injury and spent much of the season on the treatment table after a broken arm and other ailments. He still managed both double figure assists and goals, but was only available for about half the fixtures and we hardly ever got any points at all when he wasn't in the team.
It was a bit of an up and down season, but we had managed to put together a decent run of form to rise up to mid-table before we were dumped out of the suck ass trophy. I had hoped to push on and challenege for a playoff spot, however a total of only 2 points from a possible 36 saw us plummett down the table and it looked for a while like our fall would only be broken when we landed in Conference North/South again. I somehow managed to jump off the aquaplane, and we went unbeaten for the final 5 matches of the season to secure survival .
My carp physio was the real star though. Whenever he managedd to get the Big Nigerian fit, we generally picked up points.
Players sold 5 for £44,000.
Players purchased 1 for £22,000. (N.Irish support striker).
Balance Not sure if I'm honest, but I think about £200,000 o'd :o.
Cup games won 1.

So after last seasons debacle, I was determined not to let the same thing happen again and searched in earnest for a Target Man or 2 to play back up to my <STRIKE>Big</STRIKE> (injury prone) Nigerian. My carp scouts somehow returned with information on 2 ex England Internationals, (who cares if it was only 1 cap each, they're still capped), and after an initial trial, both signed full time contracts. This was pretty lucky really, as I had really trimmed the squad size now and was lacking at centre-half, where one of them spent much of the season after performing well in that position for previous clubs, Blackburn and Celtic.
Despite having a much improved squad, we were even carper than the previous season, and hovered just outside the dreaded zone for much of the year, before aquaplaning to safety with half a dozen games to spare.
The <STRIKE>Big</STRIKE> Injury Prone Nigerian, was again injured for much of the season, and the real star of the season was the N.Ireland support striker who notched 22 goals and even scored on his International debut.
Players sold 4 for £6,000. (another 11 released).
Players purchased1 for £1,000. (Serbian centre-half).
Balance. Not sure if I'm honest. I think last season's should have been about £100,000 o/d and this season should be £200,000 o/d. Anyway, you get the message. We're skint .
Cup games won 4, (as we got to the semi-final of the Suck Ass Trophy.
