Season 4. Conference National. 2010/11.

We started poorly, (3 games/3 losses), and I thought we were to be in for a 3rd season of struggle . 8 wins out of our next 9 games saw us fly back into contention, and from then on we alternated with Woking and Macclesfield for the top 3 positions until the end of the season. Macclesfield really came strong towards the end of the season, and Woking pipped us for 2nd.

Still, 3rd was ok and we had made the playoffs for the first time. A couple of goals in each leg against York in the Semi, and a 1-0 annihalation of Sutton Utd in the final meant that we would be playing League 2 football next season.

The star of the season award was tied between my new young Serbian centre-half, who chipped in with 8 goals, (all at the near post from corners), and my young Irish keeper, who kept 18 clean sheets.

Players sold 5 for £10,000. (Another 12 released).

Players purchased 0 for £0.

Balance. About £200,000 in credit now.

Cup games won 1 .

Well done on your promotion via the play-offs Jim. :thup: You might even have some transfer money next season.
Buses come in three's and it seems defeats can as well, good recovery from your poor start.

Season 5. League 2 2011/12.

We aquaplaned our way through the season, before I pulled my finger out and set the boys off on a charge over the last 9 games. We took 20 points from a possible 24 and were a goal up in injury time of the last game of the season when an equaliser looked to have ended our playoff dream. Luckily, MK Dons conceded a last minute pen in their game and we leap-frogged them back into the playoffs.

Wrexham beat us 1-0 in Wales after we concedede another injury time goal in the 1-1 home leg. After a storming charge, we went crashing out at the first hurdle of the playoffs .

The star of the season was my N.Irish support striker, who hit the 20 goal mark for the 3rd time in his career.

Players sold 3 for £52,000. (Another 5 released).

Players purchased 2 for £9,000.

Balance. About £750K in credit.

Cup games won 2 .
